Braintree Technologies Wins Top 3 at Khazanah Impact Innovation Challenge 2023, Awarded RM500,000 Grant

Braintree Technologies has been named one of the Top 3 winners of the Khazanah Impact Innovation Challenge (KIIC) 2023, receiving a grant of up to RM500,000 to accelerate its business expansion and robot commercialisation plans.

The KIIC 2023, themed "Tackling the Climate Challenge for Malaysia's Food Security," called for submissions from Malaysian businesses with innovative and commercially viable solutions addressing the challenges posed by climate change on food security. Out of more than 160 applications, 15 finalists were shortlisted and participated in a four-week workshop and coaching programme by industry experts before pitching at the Demo Day on November 7, 2023.

Braintree Technologies, alongside fellow winners Ultimeat and Kapitani, was selected by the KIIC panel of judges for having the most innovative and unique solutions with measurable impact, operating on a sustainable business model, and offering solutions relevant to Malaysia. The other twelve finalists received grants ranging between RM150,000 and RM400,000 each.

KIIC 2023 was organised by Khazanah in partnership with Plug and Play APAC, Impact Circle, Cradle Fund's MYStartup, Gobi Partners, 500 Global, and Agrobank. The awards were presented by Khazanah Managing Director Dato' Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir.
