Braintree Technologies Named Technology Partner for U Mobile's Enterprise Innovation Platform

Braintree Technologies at U Mobile Enterprise Innovation Platform launch

Braintree Technologies has been selected as one of the first eight ecosystem partners for U Mobile's newly launched Enterprise Innovation Platform (EIP) — a neutral environment designed to help enterprises, SMEs, startups, academia, and public sector agencies develop and commercialise 5G-Advanced and AI-driven solutions.

As a Technology Partner alongside China Mobile International, Meraque Group, and ZTE Malaysia, Braintree will contribute applied AgriTech and automation use cases — including drones, robotics, GIS, IoT, and AI — to support the validation and demonstration of 5G-enabled solutions in real field settings. The EIP's Anchor Partners include Amazon Web Services, Huawei Malaysia, Palo Alto Networks, and Qualcomm, providing the foundational cloud, network, cybersecurity, and device technologies that underpin the platform.

The EIP Hub, a physical innovation sandbox located at Subang High Tech Park, is set to launch in July 2026. It will feature integrated 5G-A connectivity, cloud and edge access, an IoT device lab, private network zones, live demo areas, and tools such as network slicing simulators, digital twin environments, and AR/VR toolkits.

"U Mobile has a long history of innovation, and we will be the first to say that innovation is key to the advancement of technology. We truly believe EIP will play a catalytic role and support the nation's digital and AI ambitions under the Thirteenth Malaysia Plan." — Woon Ooi Yuen, Chief Technology Officer of U Mobile

This partnership builds on the momentum from Braintree and U Mobile's MoU signed at MWC Barcelona in March 2025, deepening the collaboration from smart farming use cases into a broader enterprise innovation ecosystem.
